How comprehensive are Aurora Medical Billing Services included in the quoted fees?
Q. Is all reporting included (including unlimited custom reporting)?
A.Yes. In addition, our clients can access all data and view/print reports for no additional charge.
Q. Are Practice Analysis and Practice Management services included in the basic cost? How often is each done?
A.Yes. Reports are done as often as clients request and again, clients can access our system and view/print reports as often as needed.
Q. How many patient statements do you send per patient? Does it cost extra if I want to send more?
A. One statement per month, for up to 4 months for same charges. No charge for statement if client chooses "Full Practice Management Service" package, otherwise $1.00 per statement.
Q. Do you offer a "scrubber"? If you do, is it simply the claims editing utility provided by your clearing house or is it a system that applies the full set of rules that payers use in declining if they will pay claims (e.g., does the scrubbing look for diagnosis/procedure mismatches? Does the scrubber look for bundling issues?)
A. Yes. Our software scrubs claims twice, applies a full set of rules, verifies diagnosis/procedure mismatches and looks for bundling issues. Only after that, will claims be submitted to our clearing house.
Q. Are there any additional Medical Billing fees other than the percentage of
collection or cost per claim (i.e., cost for training, scheduler, database access or creation,
etc.)?
A. There are no additional charges unless a client has no activity during any given month, at which the fee will be $150.00.
Q.How are documents submitted to your office for processing?
A. Currently, our clients either mail, fax or utilize an express service. Aurora Medical Billing absorbers the cost for express service for clients who choose our "Full Practice Management" service.
Q.How often do you process/post claims?
A. We process and post claims within 24 hours or receipt.
